note to selfless 2009

Hey Nerds!

Some of you know about my yearly attempt to put together a little cdep of solo material and hand out to my friends and family. No? Well, it's true, and now you know.

I've uploaded it to the internet for those of you who are two far away to be handed a cd, or those of you who just don't believe in cds anymore

Anyways, here is the 2009 edition, aptly titled 09. Download

notsuoHHouston

on Wednesday, we had some good times with some new friends. jason
webley stole the crowds heart with his charismatic accordian. then,
after two hours of poetry slamming, the valley arena busted out some
tight rock with their invisible bass player (see picture).
apteka gave us a taste of their etheral jams too. lots of fun! a big
thanks to jim (from notsuoh) for taking us on after the super happy
fiasco. hopefully shfl will get their permits sorted out soon.
also thanks to jim (from Dayton) for putting us up and feeding us
delicious burritos and pancakes.

animatronic

at some rest stop in Louisiana, we found this talking racoon and
turtle. they told us all about some terrible storm that created a
swamp that saved them all. they also pulled off a pretty hip song,
complete with beatboxing.

WATCH OUT, HERE COMES THE CROC!

out of order

I totally forgot to post this. on Monday at our Spanish moon show, we
versus the shark invited a pan flautest from the crowd up on stage for
a song. it was pretty intense. they were really fun, and everyone at
the Spanish moon was supper duper great.

pretty and nice

this is pretty & nice. we went and hung out at their show tonight back
in baton rouge. they were fun (like always!) and they'll be playing
with us in Dayton next week. march 20th at pearl. dont miss it!

dayoff part one

so we had the day off today and headed over to the French Quarter.
some guy had golden wings and shane sang "Jesse's girl" with some
weird live karaoke band.

afterward, the host asked him what it felt like to sing in a band. I
wanted to ask them what it felt like to hand out illegible lyric
sheets instead of having one of those TelePrompter things.

bubba

"are you scared of dogs named bubba? we have to break into the house
where you are staying tonight."

pretty self-explanitory, right? turns out "bubba" is an adorable
miniature chihuahua with a spiked collar.
